Battle Axe Award
The Banshee Battle Axe only comes out once a season. For the big match against crosstown rivals, Chicago Women.
It doesn't always go to the most skilled player or the leading try scorer. It goes to the player who most exhibits the spirit of North Shore. The player who never quits, lifts her teammates up, and plays her heart out. The same way that North Shore fought, clawed, and struggled to establish themselves and gain respect when they branched off from Chicago Women all those years ago.
It's a symbol of perseverance, courage, and above all heart, making it one of the most coveted awards within the North Shore ranks and an honor for anyone who receives it.
