Chicago North Shore Hires New Head Coach!

Wednesday, August 1, 2018

Chicago North Shore would like to welcome our new Head Coach, Parisa Asgharzadeh, to the North Shore family! Parisa comes to us by way of New Mexico and has been involved in rugby for over 16 years. As a player she saw success playing with Seattle and the USA U23 team. With Seattle she went on to win one 15’s D1 National Championship and three silver medals in the USA 7’s National Competition.

As a coach she has almost 10 years of experience and a level 300 Certification. Her coaching resume includes the following:
• Four years at the University of Washington in Seattle
• Atavus Selects
• USA Jr. All Americans
• Three years coaching the High School Loggera Select Sides

Outside of rugby, Parisa spent many years as a teacher and works as an Assistant Principal. She is trilingual speaking English, Spanish, and Farsi (which was her first language). She has traveled to over 20 countries and loves to go hiking with her fiancé and doggie Luna.

Please help us give her a warm welcome! We look forward to the upcoming season!

Note: The head coach position is now filled. However, we are still accepting resumes for assistant coaches.
