Lauren Trout
7s Head Coach
Lauren Trout played rugby from 2008 to 2022 and has been coaching since 2016. As a player, she started at Purdue University and joined Chicago North Shore in 2013. She has played in 350+ rugby games between 15s and 7s. In addition to North Shore, she played with several select/representative sides such as Atlantis, Stars, ARPTC, USA Developmental 7s, the USA 15s Player Pool, and the USARL Women's National Team. As a player-coach, she helped lead NS to the D1 (15s) National Final in 2016 and was named USA's Club Coach of the Year along with her co-coach. She coached the Illinois Collegiate All-Stars from 2016-2022. As the 7s head coach, she helped lead North Shore to a Midwest Championship and a 4th place finish at 7s Nationals in 2022.
Trout has her level 200 USA Rugby Certification. Outside of NS, she is a Lead Instructional Designer for a consulting firm and will be coaching Team Texas in the upcoming 2023 PR Sevens Circuit.
